Use Article Submission to Jump Start Your Online Business. You Can Stand Out From the Crowd!

You can make $1,000 to $10,000 a week working just 2 to 3 hours a day at home. You can even work in your pajamas!

STOP!

Go to the top right hand corner of your computer screen and click on the little red box with the X in it. Now! Someone is trying to turn a quick buck over your desire to make money working at home. And what will you get for your $49.95, yet another round of frustration and disappointment. I don't know about you, but I've been there, done that.

So you're new to the game (the technical term is "newbie") and you're already tired of empty promises and a quickly thinning wallet. You have an affiliate website picked out or one you really think you can turn into a residual income generating monster. So what do you do now?

What do you do now?

That's a good question. Your new affiliate website is a "carbon copy" of 100 to 1000 websites identical to your own. Is there a way to distinguish your website from the other hopeful runners in the race to the finish line?

As a matter of fact, there is!

And believe it or not, you're already here.

Think.

Think hard!

If you are reading this article, you are looking for a way to make money online. Hello? If you already knew how, you wouldn't be reading this. Now would you? I didn't think so. You can accomplish six months worth of SEO simply by submitting a single article to Ezine @rticles. Perhaps you can't figure out how to get your website a page one ranking on Google. But a well written, content rich, article can shoot to page one for all your key word search terms in a matter of days after posting.

Fact, Google, Yahoo, and MSN love Ezine Articles. Ezine Articles is the granddaddy of all articles directories. Ezine Articles has a long established track record for providing content rich information to the masses. Their level of credibility is unsurpassed in the online arena. The search engine spiders are just waiting to jump on the next article that receives the Ezine seal of approval. And the second they find it, they'll pounce!

Longevity is yet another key factor to consider when you're trying to break into the online business world. There are Ezine articles that have been sitting on page one of Google for years, ranking in highly competitive key word phrases such as, make money online, work at home business, and residual income. Think how much long term traffic you can generate to your website with a page one ranking in your selected key word phrases. You are suddenly no longer just another affiliate program marketer. You are now a page one ranked author in Google's search engine with a back link directed straight to your website in your resource box. That is the quintessential essences of the term SEO.

Can you think of a better way to start generating traffic to your website on a budget? Exactly! There is none. Article submission is, by far, the best and easiest way to stand out from the crowd in an endless sea of affiliate websites. And the best part is, it's free!

The power of the written word is the key to success.

If you want to get your home based business off the ground, stop reading and start typing. Type, type, and then type some more. Don't stop, even if you feel like you're wasting your time. You may feel that way now. But you'll become a believer the second you see your article sitting on Google's first page.

One final note to save you needless frustration:

If you submit an article with an affiliate link in the resource box, your article will not be approved. You must either purchase a Domain name and use a redirect, or create a landing page. This distinguishes the serious publisher from anyone looking to just make a quick buck in Ezine's eyes. Call this a FREE piece of advice, one most Internet Gurus will not share with you.

Write Articles That Send a Stampede of Traffic to Your Website. Here’s How.

Please read the title again. After all, it did get you to check out the article, didn't it?
Notice it didn't say How To, or 7 Tips To, or 10 Ways To. It said Write Articles, an affirmative action. Here's How, an offer for free information.

As a website promoter or affiliate marketer, your primary goal is to grab and retain your reader's attention. You grab their attention with a title that packs a punch. You retain their attention by providing them with relevant content. In this case, perhaps giving them a new perspective in the way they approach creating a title for their next article.

Your secondary goal is to drive traffic for your online business from said articles publication. The best way to accomplish that goal is to catch the reader's interest immediately. You have about a second and a half, and they've already passed your article by and are down to the next one. And there went your chance to drive traffic and turn a profit off your efforts to promote your work at home business.

I'm sure you've heard of acai berry based products. This is the latest craze in the food supplement world and has blossomed into a multi-million dollar industry. Imagine for a moment that you own an MLM based acai berry website. You have decided to focus on the health benefits of acai berry rather than its potential for weight loss.

Additionally, as the marketer for this website, you are hoping not just to get people to try your product. You want to convince them that they want in on a piece of the action. Which of these titles do you think will grab your prospects attention the most?

The 7 Benefits of Acai Berry. Feel Better And Make Money At The Same Time.

How Acai Berry Can Change Your Life. Make money while improving your health.

Acai Berry Will Make You Healthier, Happier, and Build a Residual Income For Life.

This is a no brainer. Health, Happiness and a chance to stop worrying about if you're going to end up in your kid's guestroom when you grow old and grey.

Let's try one with a weight loss twist instead.

Acai Berry Secrets Revealed! Lose Weight and Build a Residual Income While Helping Improve Lives.

Notice I didn't say, Acai Berry Secrets Revealed! Lose Weight and Get Rich While Helping Improve Lives.

There are two legitimate reasons for this;

1. Get rich is definitely designed to grab your attention. But that promise is made by virtually every other work at home website on the internet. It is entirely too over hyped and under delivered. And you're not trying to sale hype. You're trying to sale a business opportunity.

2. In article submission, you will be asked to submit key words to make it easier for your potential reader to find your article. In the case of the first title, your key word terms are acai berry, which is rapidly becoming a very competitive search phrase and residual income. Why residual income? Good question. In using the word residual income you are now marketing to people who are looking to make money on line in addition to those hoping to lose weight. Residual income is not only a less competitive term, but it may also grab you that one marketing genius as a part of your downline. This should be making perfect sense to you as an MLM marketer.

Say you are promoting the weight loss aspect of acai berry. And your website is based on direct rather than MLM sales. Consider these titles;

Lose Weight With Acai Berry.

How I Lost Weight Using Acai Berry.

Acai Berry's Amazing Health Benefits. Lose Weight Fast and Keep It Off.

In the third title, you've lost weight. You feel better. And the weight is gone for good. Who could ask for more?

What if you're attempting to market to someone who is already convince they want to give acai berry a try. Which of these two titles would grab your attention?

Where To Buy Acai Berry Weight Loss Products. The Best Place To Buy Online.
OR
Save Money On Acai Berry Weight Loss Products. Place Your Order Online Now.

Here's something to keep in mind if you are new to article writing as a way to promote your work at home business. The longer the title and the more relevant it keywords are, the better your chances of getting ranked high and increasing your article's longevity in the search engines.

Final note:

In structuring your article's title, you want to include at least two keyword phrases in a non-obtrusive way. For instance acai berry, lose weight or acai berry, residual income. If at all possible, you want your primary keyword to be at the front of your title. This gives the internet spiders something to munch on immediately. You'll be amazed at how well this will help your article's ranking. But above all, you want to create a title that packs a big enough punch for the reader to want to click on the title to continue reading.

The Easy Way to Promote a Product by Writing Articles

Writing articles is a skill that everybody can learn. Article marketing is a skill that everybody can learn. Put the two together and you have a powerful tool to promote a product.

Your objectives in online marketing are promoting your website and selling your products. By 'website' I mean any web presence: a regular website, your Facebook page profile, your Squidoo lens, your YouTube video, your Blog, and any other way in which you use the internet to make money.

You Must Connect!

Without promotion you will be failing to connect with most of your potential customers. Even with promotion, you will fail to connect with most of them, but you will do better than if you do not.

Writing articles on a topic that interests people who might be interested in your product is sure-fire way of getting your products in front of your prospects. Who are your prospects? People who are interested in your niche or the topic of your article enough to buy your product.

Marketing is easy in theory, and involves these steps:

1. Find a product to market - yours or somebody else's on commission.

2. Bring the product to the attention of interested people

3. Persuade them to buy.

So where does writing articles fit in to this simplified process? At stages 2 and 3!

Catch their Eye!

The title of your article must catch your prospective customer's eye. It must interest them - perhaps offer the promise to solve a problem they have, offer to make them money or save them time, or offer some new information on the subject. Anything to start them reading!

Keep them Interested

Then you have to interest them. Don't lose them after the first couple of sentences. Expand on the title: if your title is 'How to Breed Championship-Winning Dogs', don't begin with a sentence or two on dog food. It might be relevant to the breeding process, but it will seem like an advert, and the reader will stop reading.

Expand on the title: "By using a new technique it easier now to breed championship-winning dogs than it ever has been". I know nothing about breeding dogs, but that would work better than "The food you feed your dog is important. . ."

Once you have them reading, then you can propose the main problem and present your solution, full details of which can be found by clicking on the link in your resource. You can't say that of course, but you can infer it in the final summing up paragraph of your article, and leave the reader with nothing more to do than either leave the page or click on the link.

Persuasion is Key

The third action - persuading them to buy - is done on your website, once they have made that all-important click. So the simplified marketing process above can work if you know how to write articles properly, by baiting the hook with a good title, retaining interest with your first couple of sentences and then offering no option at the end but to click to your website to find out more information.

As I wrote in the first sentence, 'writing articles is a skill', but one that can be taught, so if you want to learn how to market a product the easy way, you should learn how to write articles and how to use article marketing the way the professionals do.

You will find marketing your product a lot easier by doing so.

The Pros and Cons of PPC Advertising

Pay per click advertising is extremely popular among online businesses, and many swear by it. It involves using specific keywords to direct interested traffic to your website. You simply register your keywords with a pay per click provider, and they appear in the form of an advertisement that people can click on to link to your website. You are then charged every time someone clicks on your advertisement and is linked to your site.

There are many things you must take note of when designing your pay per click advertising campaign. Some of them are listed below.

1. Relevance is everything. People click on keywords expecting to arrive at a site that is or has whatever was promised in the advertisement they clicked on. It is no point directing people to your site only to have disappointed that it is not what they expected and simply leave. You pay for the click but get nothing out of it.

2. Check keywords you wish to use using search engines yourself. The sites that come up may give you a better idea of whether that is a good keyword for your site or not.

3. Negative keywords can be useful. Most pay per click programs allow you to set negative keywords such that, when people enter such keywords, your site is prevented from being listed, even if the person also entered relevant keywords.

4. You can budget your campaign by putting a cap on the maximum number of clicks you want to allow each day. If you are just starting out with pay per click advertising, then it is advisable for you to start small and set a small budget until you are more familiar with pay per click programs and how they work.

5. Most pay per click providers will require that you keep some kind of balance on account in order to satisfy your daily budget. Most require either a minimum deposit or a refill amount that is 3 times your daily budget.

6. You can choose to pause your campaign at any time. If you will not have the time to monitor your account for a certain period of time, then you can pause your account and not spend any money on pay per click advertising during that time. Once you return you can resume your advertising.

7. Most pay per click providers require that you adhere to a set of rules and regulations in order to use their services. You should read through the rules before you submit your keywords and keep to them. This could save you the frustration of having your keywords and advertisements rejected by the pay per click providers.

8. You should constantly monitor the number of clicks your advertisements are getting and from where. You will want to continue bidding on those keywords that bring traffic to your site that is being converted into sales. If your keywords are effective but highly contested and thus expensive, then you will have to come up with derivatives that are less expensive but just as effective.

9. Be patient with your advertising campaign. Many pay per click programs are happy to offer you help, and you should contact them and listen to what they have to say about your campaign before you declare your campaign a failure.

10. When someone searches for your keyword, he or she is going to get a long list of sites that match. You need to be among the first that appear, as those further behind rarely get any attention. While it is not necessary for your site to appear on the first page, you should not be too far behind, or you will find your site fading into obscurity very quickly.

At the end of the day, it is important that you understand just how pay per click advertising works before you throw money down the drain using ineffective but expensive keywords.

Promoting Music Through MySpace - Great Ways For Great Plays

MySpace is a great site for aspiring artists to put up their audios and videos for public viewing. Good players may even be lucky to land a profitable deal. But most aspiring artists do not really know how to get the maximum exposure on MySpace. Capitalizing on MySpace opportunities is essential to get the most benefits out of it. MySpace is a place where you can search old friends and make new friends, it is a site where you can express yourself and an even better way if you are an artist. It helps you keep connected with the rest of the world and display your talent at a reasonable cost. How much of an exposure you would like to give your art on MySpace is left to you.

The first step is to create an account on MySpace website. Only then can you upload your audios or videos onto the site. Next you need to create a profile page listing your interests and hobbies. It is this profile page that can help you catapult to fame on MySpace. MySpace allows you to upload your music albums, videos and pictures and add your own music too. Once you get to know how to upload your talent on MySpace, you can use other tools to make people see your talent. Blogs and forums on MySpace will help you get other people to know about your individual talent or your band's performance. If the other members like you music, it could become a popular one increasing the chances of more people listening to your music or band. Though they charge quite a sum, it could prove to be beneficial in the long run considering the exposure your talent gets. The online service providers have packages to suit every individual's budget and requirement. The more plays you put up on MySpace, the more reviews and comments you can expect. Using Music and Video Online to Promote Your Band

Your musical career can be largely assisted by building up that loyal fan base through MySpace. A clever promotional effort that is able to create adequate fan enthusiasm will work well for you as record labels would visit your MySpace page to check out what all the excitement is about. A fan is also an important necessity since it is they who pay the ticket price to watch your shows. Another advantage of a loyal fan following is that you will get more gigs and the record labels are definitely going to notice you.

While you may have already implemented the usual marketing tools used on MySpace, such as uploading your music and registering your profile page, if you are still not making the best use of the other tools available on this site, then the excitement you are seeking to create may not b e happening.

What you need is not only the occasional fan that finds you through looking for music that is similar to your, or through other musicians, or their friends, but a loyal fan following who will connect with you and stay with you because they identify with your musical individuality.

Several ways to build up a MySpace fan base:

Blogs and Forums-
On such places you can have direct communication with your fans. Rather than from a genre or keyword search a fan will find you and your MySpace page easier if you participate in blog writing and forums. A fan produced by a friendship will remain more faithful.

Cross Marketing-
You can make partnerships with musician pals who are already promoting their material to obtain exposure from fans and from record labels using MySpace and exchange links of your profile pages and information of future events, as well as featuring them in forums and blogs.

It is a fairly effortless way to gain exposure as record labels visiting one page will usually check out other listed bands on that page.

It is also a way to attract fans who would like to hear the music listened to by their own favorite musicians, and this will result in more traffic for you both.

Video and Photo Uploading-
These items bring a their favorite artists closer to a fan and gives a more personalized effect, which is why fans usually love viewing videos and photos of you. Personal photos showing you playing your guitar or writing your songs, video footage of behind the scenes happenings and rehearsals, candid photos are all effective.

Uploading Other Song Covers-
Add a few classics to your repertoire showing fans you are open to diversity and aren't afraid to take a risk. Record an out of the box song displaying your talent to record labels and catching the attention of fresh fans.

It is not so difficult to build a loyal following, as you will see from the points listed above which are quite simple to incorporate in to your MySpace page. The more exposure you can generate the better for your public profile.

Little Known Secrets To Exploit Peoples Buying Behaviors

Do you know how much I like Napoleon Hill's materials? To illustrate my own "addiction" to Think and Grow Rich by Napoleon Hill:

I have 6 different versions of the book:

• I have a soft-cover that I carry with me when I travel.
• I have a collector's edition in my personal library.
• I have the THINK AND GROW RICH: THE 21st-CENTURY EDITION
• I have THINK AND GROW RICH: THE 21st-CENTURY EDITION
• WORKBOOK.
• I also have the Audio book in both cassette tapes and CDs as well.

I also own all the other Napoleon Hill's books such as:

• NAPOLEON HILL'S A YEAR OF GROWING RICH
• BELIEVE AND ACHIEVE
• SUCCEED AND GROW RICH THROUGH PERSUASION
• LAW OF SUCCESS: THE 21st CENTURY EDITION... etc.

Do you get the idea here? If I like the information, I want it ALL!

If you think back on a past experience, perhaps you've done the same (probably invested tons of money, time or effort etc.) to learn EVERYTHING you can on a particular topic you're passionate about.

And because of this human behavior, it's usually information publishers online who understand it that makes the most money in their marketplace—not to mention, step above their competitors at the same time…

You see, what you probably don't know is when you have lots of products to offer your prospects, you eventually get perceived as the 'expert' in the industry.

Naturally, people would flock to you since you offer them varieties, a fresh introduction to products they actually want at the present time, or rather just knowing you probably have the 'deepest' secrets or solutions to their problems—since you have so many products created on that particular topic!

The problem is, many people don't take this step because they think it's difficult to create a new product from their previous ones. But you'll learn why it's otherwise in a while…

SIDE NOTE: If your business seem like it's making its highest profits at the moment—here's the secret to take it to the next level. Again, all you need to remember is "when people like and immerse themselves in something, they do all they can to get all of it"

As Michael Masterson, author of "Ready, Fire, Aim" said, you don't have to make your product perfect before it's launched. Instead, launch it before it is perfected and improve as you go along.

How hard is this PRODUCT ASCENSION process? I'll show you:

Take an existing topic, present it in an interesting, shocking, entertaining or "wow" effect and you'll have a new product ready to go. Deliver it in different formats, for example an audio interview… a membership site delivering new angles on your advices… or a physical home study course (a compilation of existing information you have) with specific step-by-step instructions, and you'll have few other new products.

You've heard it before, but I'll hammer this in your mind once again: "An average plan implemented today is far better than a perfect plan implemented next week."

The fact is, you don't always need to create new categories of information in your niche. Sometimes, you offer more VALUE helping your prospects further understand beneficial information you already have!

If you like, you can follow what I do: Get out a pen and paper right now, outline a new product your prospects would purchase (whether new or old information, presented from a fresh point of view) within 30 minutes and set a deadline for completion depending on your product. Then, make HALF of that time period your actual deadline and GET MOVING with the product creation process—it's that simple.

Instead of making plans, why not make goals and deadlines? Perhaps you can focus on creating at least 3 new products each year? What about, launching a new product in the next 4-8 weeks?

Of course there are FAR GREATER benefits behind this product ascension process… but instead of adding more thought processes that gets in the way, why not make it simple and just create as many products as you can? As simple as I can put it, this is the "secret" I've used to grow my Internet publishing business from $100,000… $200,000… then $500,000 and over ONE MILLION DOLLARS in annual revenues each year!

It's the secret multi-million dollars, top of the world and historically established publishing companies use to get to where they are. Well, are there any clearer ways to put this?

5 Steps to Merge Purge and Clean Your Company Data For Effective Marketing

In order to keep clean company records and maximize the benefits of corporate data and mailing lists the following steps should be taken for more prosperous marketing futures.

Step 1

Make sure to use duplicate elimination software such as Maxdup or other software for correcting the names and addresses that your marketing lists comprise. This type of program provides merge/purge accuracy because it uses revolutionary pattern recognition techniques which identifies and eliminates duplicate records. You can specify up to 256 different input files, duplicate tags, and identify frequent buyers to help customers focus on their specific marketing goals and prospects. A company software program can save you postage and time and enhance their corporate image by eliminating unnecessary mailings and costly returns.

Step 2

You will want to match your mailing lists to the USPS national change of address, more commonly referred to as NCOA, in order to make sure those potential customers you have that may have moved within the last few years receive the marketing literature you intend for them. Approximately 25% of the country households move every 3 years so if you are mailing millions of pieces of mail the amount of wasted money is staggering.

Step 3

Next, make sure you get the best possible postage rates for your mailings. After you merge purge your lists and check for accuracy of the addresses using intelligent mail barcodes can greatly reduce the cost. They speed up the processing at the postal facilities and USPS software reads the barcodes giving companies less expensive rates in the process.

Step 4

Make sure you use codes or some form of recognition on mailing materials themselves so when the customers respond you tell which marketing approach worked best. Without using some form of tracking method the mail is just going out and doing much les to help future endeavors. This will have to be set up ahead of time and planned out with the marketing group at the company or outsourced to the appropriate group.

Step 5

Review. After the designated amount of time has passed you are ready to evaluate the performance of your marketing work. Was the approach correct? Was the list merge purge successful? Id you eliminate duplications and returns? Was the price you paid for the mailing the best you could have gotten and was the return on investment in line with expectations?

It is not enough to simply take a list and mass email or mass mail to them without regard to the accuracy and success rate of the effort. There needs to be a focus and way of grading the results for effectiveness. By planning it out carefully and using the outlined methods above to hone the lists and get the best return on investment you are bound to have better results and a more successful business. With technology and software more available than ever it is mandatory that you take advantage of benefits. Search online for tools that will make be able to organize and clean your corporate data when it becomes to big to effectively do manually.

Retiring Baby Boomer? As Second Career, Try Affiliate Marketing

For a retiring baby boomer, permanent retirement is not an option. This includes the ages of approximately 42 to 65. Those are retiring from their jobs are more often than not starting their own business. This age group makes up of about 54% of the workforce when it comes to self-employment. What does this tell you? This is a group of people who are using what they know to set up a profitable income using the Internet.

What type of business do you suppose they might be interested in starting? Since this is the generation that is the first to be Internet savvy, the trend is gravitating towards the web. They know how to use it; they know what kind of profits can be made and most have experience in this area.

One of the most popular businesses among retiring baby boomers as second career is affiliate marketing. The opportunity to promote a certain product or service and draw customers to this service is one of the things a baby boomer may have been doing in their career before retiring. Take for example, a person who retires from a sales position in a major company. They have been doing this all their life and they know just how to get the public interested. So this type of business is a breeze considering their knowledge and expertise.

The actual function of affiliate marketing may be a little different than first hand selling however, the concept is the same. Getting people interested is the first step and helping them to see why they need this product is the second one. Baby boomers are a force to be reckoned with; they are about 80 million and the business world is starting to be monopolized by them. Why? Because one of two things is happening consistently. Either as soon as they retire, they are starting their own business or after retiring they are deciding to get back in the business world so they open their own source of income.

It was not always this way. Just a few years ago when the retirement age was achieved, this was what people did. They retired; they traveled or moved to a warmer climate and spent their retirement years with grandchildren or doing what they wanted to do. The retirement age has risen for many and 65 is not the set age for retirement anymore. This may have a lot to do with the choice to start their own business after retiring from a job they have held for many years.

For many baby boomers affiliate marketing is more than the desire to be doing something. The chance to earn income to supplement their retirement income is paramount. The ability to afford some of the things they may not otherwise be able to afford is another reason. Others turn to affiliate marketing because working is more than a job. They want to have something to do everyday and the extra money is just one of the benefits of having a business.

Another reason they may decide to try affiliate marketing is because work is all they know. Today some employees are under the restraints of company policy which requires retirement at a certain age. Even though the person may feel that they can keep working, it is against company policy. The choice to remain independent and not depend upon a retirement fund and Social Security is one that the retiring baby boomer is choosing.

Tracking and Reporting Your Church Marketing

You've performed keyword research. You optimized your website for the search engines. You have even started a link building campaign to gain untold numbers of relevant, inbound links. So, you're done right? Wrong. It's time to see the effects of all this work, re-evaluate the optimization, and plan your next move.

Take a look

Tracking and reporting are as natural to search engine optimization as weighing yourself when you're on a diet. Yet, many people don't track the results of their SEO work. Some people track the results of the optimization and link building simply by noticing whether their site seems to be busier. Others go as far as running a search ranking report a few weeks after the initial SEO is completed, but don't continue running reports assuming their rankings will not change. Meanwhile, they may be targeting the wrong keywords, their rankings are probably dropping, and they may be missing great opportunities.

The SEO Diet:

Let's run with the diet analogy for a minute. Optimization and link building are like diet and exercise. When you are trying to loose weight, you do the work of dieting and exercising, but you also get on the scale every day. You track how far you can run, how much weight you can lift, or how many inches your waste has shrunk. These are all important things to do because it tells you if what you are doing is working and it encourages you to continue. As you see the pounds coming off, it motivates you to continue. Similarly, you can see if the SEO is working or if the search engine optimization for some keywords needs to be re-evaluated do to poor performance. You can determine what keywords need more than just on-page optimization and thus need to be targeted when link building. Also, as you see your rankings improving and your website traffic increasing, it can encourage you and motivate you to push on with your online church marketing.

Search Ranking Reports:

The primary way most people track the results of search engine optimization is by running search ranking reports. These reports tell you where your website is currently ranking in the major search engines for your targeted keywords. The reports themselves don't affect your rankings, but they do give you insight into the effect of the work you have done and what areas you may need to improve on.

Let's say when you first started the optimization process, you decided to target some less competitive keywords because your website was new and you wanted to start getting more website traffic as soon as possible. As part of your plan, you targeted those keywords with both the on-page optimization as well as the link building. As you were doing this, you ran search ranking reports regularly and tracked the results of the work. After a month or two, the reports indicate that your website is now in the top results for all those keywords. This tells you not only that what you're doing is working, but also that you can now start targeting new keywords with the link building. You may want to continue to target the old keywords with a small percentage of your link building to maintain the high ranking for those keywords, but you know that you can now start targeting more competitive keywords.

Conversely, as you run reports to track your results, you may find that your website is slipping in the rankings for some keywords. This information will let you know that you either lost some of the optimization of the pages targeting these keywords when editing your website or you need to do some additional link building targeting the keywords. Without running the reports, you wouldn't know this and would be working blindly.

Details…Details….Details:

When trying to loose weight, most people have several aspects to their strategy. They do cardio workouts, aerobics, and weight lifting as well as eating certain foods at certain times. Now imagine you are dieting and exercising and someone tells you they can tell you exactly which foods are helping you loose weight and which are hurting your weight loss efforts. They can also tell you which exercises are most effective and which you are wasting effort on, not just because they know what tends to work, but because they can monitor exactly how your individual body is being affected by each food choice or exercise. Similarly, when trying to get more traffic and more conversions through your website, you target a variety of different keywords and use various optimization methods. Now imagine someone can tell you exactly which keywords are actually bringing people to your site, and which keywords are producing the most conversions and bringing the most new people in contact with your ministry. Welcome to the world of analytics. Analytics is software that can track traffic to and from your website as well as on your website. With analytics software you can see how many people are coming to your site from inbound links you've gotten or from the search engines. The software can tell you which keywords people searched for when they found and visited your website. It can even tell you how long they stayed on your site, what pages they visited, and whether or not they completed certain tasks like completing an information request form. In addition to giving you insights into your website design, this is invaluable information that can serve as the other side of the keyword research coin.

Analytics:

Keyword research tells you the popularity and competitiveness of keywords. Analytics can tell you the effectiveness of those keywords.

• You may find that even when you rank well for certain keywords, people don't click through to your site for those keywords. The keyword popularity predicts 500 searches a day and, even though you rank number 1, you are only getting 5-10 clicks a day. This may indicate that the people searching for that keyword aren't actually looking for what you are offering. So, it may be a good idea change the SEO / link building from targeting that keyword to target another keyword.

• You may also find that a large percentage of visitors searching for a lower popularity keyword not only click through to your site, but end up contacting the church. This could lead you to focus more attention on that keyword to make sure you rank number 1.

• Analytics reports may indicate that links on certain types of sites (maybe other church sites or local city listing sites) produce more traffic than other links. This would indicate that it would be more valuable to focus your link building efforts on getting links on those kinds of sites.

These are just the tip of the iceberg of the information you can get from analytics. There are several analytics options to choose from include software you can purchase, professional analytics management services, and free analytics options. One of the more popular (and free) analytics options is Google Analytics.

An Ever Changing Landscape:

The search engines are constantly changing. New sites area being created and shut down every day. More sites are realizing the value of search engine optimization. New strategies for SEO and link building are developed. Even the search engines themselves change as they try to refine their algorithms to produce the most relevant search results. All this means that your search engine rankings are going to change, keyword popularity will change, and links will come and go. Thus for a website you want to become and stay successful, the SEO work is never really done. Running reports, tracking keywords, and watching how visitors interact with your website is essential for devising an effective strategy for search engine marketing.

Instant Online Church Marketing: Pay-Per-Click

For most websites, search engines are the primary source of web traffic. Search engine optimization is great way to get visitors to your church's website, but it takes time. If only you could pay someone to skip ahead in line. You can! Pay-per-click search marketing is a way to get in the search engines for your targeted keywords in less than 24 hrs.

What is Pay-Per-Click Search Marketing?

With search engine optimization you attempt to increase your rankings in the natural search results by optimizing your website. The only thing you may have to pay for is the optimization, if you hire someone to optimize your website. All the traffic that you get from the search engines does cost you a thing. With Pay-Per-Click (PPC) search marketing, you don't have to optimize your website (though I recommend you still do). Instead you bid to have your website listed in the search results for certain keywords and then pay for each visitor that comes to your website through that listing. So, every time someone clicks on your listing, you pay, thus pay-per-click.

The most common pay-per-click options are Google's Adwords, Yahoo Search Marketing, and Microsoft Adcenter. Currently it's estimated that Google controls about 90% of all pay-per-click search marketing (report), so I'm going to focus on Google Adwords.

The PPC ads are displayed on the top and right side of the search results. In most search engines, they are labeled as "Sponsored Links".

How PPC Works:
Pay-per-click search marketing campaigns can be rather simple or quite complex depending on how involved you want to get. On the simple side, you can setup your church marketing PPC campaign in 6 steps:

Setup an account with Google Adwords

1. Choose the location and language for the ads (listings are called ads in PPC search marketing)
2. Setup the text for the ads
3. Pick the keywords you want to target
4. Choose a bidding price
5. Start the campaign

In fact you could probably get your PPC campaign going in about an hour or less.

More advanced Adwords users can setup targeted ads for each keyword or keyword group, track the click-through rate for each ad, and refine the ads to get the best click-through rate. You can refine your bids to get the best result for the lowest cost per click. You can also track the visitors that come to your site through your Adwords campaign, setup conversion goals (actions you want visitors to do), and setup landing pages on your site related to the keywords in your ad campaign. These more complicated steps are not necessary, but can produce better results.

For most churches, however, the simple approach will suffice. The keywords that will be most valuable to most churches are local keywords. So, you already have an idea of what keywords you want to choose. In addition, with pay-per-click campaigns, keyword popularity isn't very important. Some keywords may get searched 100 times a month and others only 5 times a month, but you want to show up on the results for both and you don't pay anything extra for it. So, keyword research is minimized.

The Best Marketing Value Ever?

For most local keywords, especially church-related keywords, few if any organizations are bidding. Therefore, keyword bids will most likely be very low (around $0.05 – $0.15 per click). Imagine getting new people to your website for only $0.05 to $0.15 each. Compare that to the cost of direct mail, billboards, newspaper ads, or any other kind of adverting and it's an absolute bargain! Larger cities may require higher bids, but bids are still generally less than $0.50 per click.

Mass Email Versus Bulk SMS

Bulk SMS messages, (short messaging system), using SMS gateway software has taken over in many worldwide markets, as a preferred way to keep in touch with customers, staff and vendors. Email is being overused and abused, and many of the bulk email messages are now going straight to Spam folders. This is a total waste of time and effort, and you have no way of knowing if your message was ever received or if it went to a Spam folder.

Some of the good things about bulk SMS messages are that they use SMS gateway software to send short messages to the email and mobile numbers in your network and businesses use it to reach their customers, employees and vendors, often on their mobile phones, when they have no access to email or telephone service.

You can use bulk SMS messages to reach existing customers, or your company representatives when they are traveling. Since bulk SMS messages use an SMS gateway and not typical cellular telephone signals, often an SMS message can get through where mobile telephone service is not available. This is especially helpful when you have customers that need to reach a representative right away, such as stock brokers or financial planners, for example.

Emails have taken over faxing and telephone calls as a way to communicate with the popularity of the internet, but they have become abused as many of the promotional emails have gotten out of hand. This makes it hard to make sure that your email got to a customer that really wants your information, instead of being spammed, like many emails are.

By using SMS gateway software, you can send emails using bulk SMS messages to reach your customers on their computer or mobile phone. It's a great way to let them know important information, sales, events and promotional opportunities. It is also a preferred way to sell to your network and reach people that have interest in your product or services, without getting important messages sent to their spam folder.

By sending bulk SMS messages, using the Short Messaging System, it is similar to text messages on your mobile phone. You can send a short message as a reminder or to make special announcements or give pertinent information about your company. There are new social networks that have made use of SMS messages that have become popular worldwide. Using the same technology, you can put it to work for your business to increase sales and customer loyalty.

If you are unsure how bulk SMS messages can work for you, there are some companies that offer 25-50 free SMS messages, worldwide as part of a trial offer of their SMS gateway software. This is a great way to find out how bulk SMS messages using an SMS gateway can work to make your life easier.

You should get in contact with one of these companies to learn more about promoting your products and services using this new technology that can reach many customers with the touch of a button. It has become more efficient than email to keep in touch with your network and use as part of your marketing plan to increase sales.

How Digital Advertising Contributed to Obama’s Campaign

President Barack Hussein Obama broke amazing new ground in several areas with his historic win. Not only was he the first African-American president ever elected into US office, but he also set the bar for the utilization of new media to reach younger, more tech savvy individuals who often felt left out in the political dialogue.

While some may debate the merits of such a move, no one can deny the simple fact that it worked to Obama's advantage. This little known politician soon became a household name and there were very few who had heard of him come election time.

Probably because of this fact, in November of 2008, Barack Obama went on to become America's first President of color.

A Paradigm That Worked

Digital advertising has been emerging as a fantastic marketing force for some time, stealthily aligning itself with online adverts and grassroots attempts to reach broader audiences. Those who refute the benefits of such a tool do so at their peril, as the proof is in the pudding.

Whatever one may think of the man or his politics, he was quick to arrive to the conclusion that digital advertising was a trend that was going to change not only the political landscape but that of commerce as well. His forward thinking strategy would set the bar high and make people rethink the way we look at modern day promotion.

The Obama Schematic

So, how did he do it? The formula was simple enough:

• Video email – far from plain and ordinary email letters, Obama was clever enough to realize that a more personal touch was needed to address issues and correct some of the fallacies that w ere cropping up during his campaign. This of course made him appear more personable than the stoic McCain who did not tap into this invaluable resource.

• Internet outreach and fundraising—the often undervalued Internet was utilized by Obama and was part of his historic outreach to galvanize come 600,000 African-American voters who had never felt they had a voice prior to this election. By telling them that they would at least be recognized and counted, he was able to pull in this disenfranchised electorate and boost his numbers significantly. With celebrity endorsements, TV ads, as well as online PR campaigns, he was also able to raise funds that enabled him to reach a wider audience than his rival.

• TV and Radio advertising – Obama managed to outspend McCain by a 4:1 margin, allowing him to allocate cash towards ads that, once again, refuted the overhyped charges brought against him during his campaign.

Indeed, many have hailed Obama as a great digital strategist who was able to utilize current technology to gain momentum during a raging political storm. He thereby positioned himself to be one of the most powerful men in the free world.

Anyone who wishes to be successful in his or her own businesses endeavors would be wise to follow Obama's game plan. By doing this, they just may push the digital advertising envelope to all the promising places that it might endeavor to go.

Internet Advertising Guide: Some Smooth Operators

Knowing a few of the powerful search operators available in Google and Yahoo can help you with your website optimization.

First, what is a search engine operator? This is a word or symbol that has special meaning to the search engine. You'll see by the examples below just what this means and how it works.

The operator for find links

How many links to your website are found in the Google or Yahoo database? How many are there for your competitors? This number of links is an extremely important factor in the ranking of a website.

Each search engine has a unique way of deciding which links to a specified web page they will "credit". You may think you have dozens and dozens of incoming links to your web pages. But until you check with the search engines you won't know for sure how many or which ones they list in their database.

Here's the magic search operator for finding links:

The search operator link: will list other webpages that have links pointing to the specified webpage. Type into the search bar link:webpage.com. For example if you type in link:internetadvertisingdictionary.com Google will show you the links pointing to the home page of this website. Make sure you leave no spaces between the term link: and the webpage.

Oddly enough you can also type in links:webpage.com (or .org, etc.). This will display more links on both Yahoo and Google. However, this is not the accepted operator in Google to find the qualified links.

How does Google currently view my site? When did they spider it last?

The search operator for finding out this information is cache:webpage. With this search operator you can find a wealth of information. By the way, the word cache in this sense means a storage place on a computer. So this tells you what Google has in storage.

For instance I typed into the Google search bar:

cache:internetadvertisingdictionary.com/internet-advertising-articles.htm. Google displayed a snapshot of what that page looked like as it appeared the last time Google spidered that page. Using this operator will also tell you the last time that particular page was indexed. As a matter of interest you can also click on a button to see what your page looks like without any images. Since search engines cannot "read" pictures this can be helpful in some aspects of optimization like making sure the actual text content of your page says what the page is about.

With both the link: operator and cache: operator you kind find information about any web page. It's important to remember that the search engines collect web pages for their data bases- not just websites. So any page can be looked up with this operators and any page of a site can be found and can rank well in a search engine. Therefore if you are looking at optimizing your website remember every page you have on that site can be part of the Google or Yahoo cache and can have its own set of incoming links.

Growing Your Business: 10 Ways to Multiply Your Sales

Time to get tough with sales! Ready set go…

1. Following up on your sales is a great way to ensure they keep increasing. Send an acknowledging email of gratitude to your customers or perhaps a Tweet (Twitter message). Follow up from time to time, too, to let them know that their business is important to you and that you are taking care to attend to their specific interests. This could be done every three months or so to remind your customers of your services and also to inform them of any upgrades.

2. 'Upselling' is another effective tactic to use to make your sales soar. Although the customer usually calls in with a specific product in mind, you could discuss their issues at length and suggest other products that would maximize their benefits. Suggest products in a casual and helpful manner, and your customer is likely to see the advantages of your suggestions, possibly adding on to their original order.

3. After a sales transaction is completed, offer your customer options to join your affiliate or other incentive programs: collecting bonus points, winning special gifts, free reports and so on. The incentive of their earning a commission on their own spending will encourage them to buy more products from you and more regularly.

4. Also offer your customers the chance to earn rebates and discounts from your business by referring others to your site. An offer like a 25% discount for every five new customers that they bring to your business, could be a very attractive package. Furthermore, you will get the added benefits of advertising and of increasing your clientele without any added costs.

5. Collaborating and cross-selling with other products is a good solution too. Combine two similar or related products: one from your business, and one from another and sell them with a discount together. This package can benefit you as well as your collaborator and will generate sales for both. Also, the lure of two products is bound to be stronger than that of one independent product. Make sure you promote this offer with leaflets and flyers all over your store and throughout your various online promotions.

6. You could also opt for selling the rights to the reproduction or reprinting of your products and include advertising for other products on the same flyers that you use for selling your rights (that way you get to promote other goods at no extra advertising cost).

7. After your customers are done buying products, mail them a list of complementary add-ons, upgrades, plug-ins and so on. If they are happy with the initial product, they may look forward to enhancing their experience with the add-ons.

8. Freebies are always a good idea to draw in sales. The more visibility the better; i.e. make sure your logo is clear on the freebies that you send or include with sales. These could include caps, pens, key-rings, bags, mugs or t-shirts. Free goodies help customers remember your business and encourage them to buy from you again later.

9. You could also try offering gift certificates for sale. People often resort to gift certificates to present to their loved ones. This doubles up as a gift for the person looking to present it, as well as a way to spend money on your products for those who have been gifted the certificate.

10. If your products are being delivered by shipping or air transport, include rebate coupons for other products. Many people are in the habit of saving coupons to use later, and they may remember to visit your business to redeem those coupons. That way, they end up saving money and are happy with their purchases, plus you end up making more sales than you would normally.

Don't stop short with your sales activities! If you need help with any of the above, seek assistance by outsourcing with affordable personal virtual assistants and ghostwriters. Keep on working with your clients before, during and after sales to help grow your business.

Pay-Per-Click (PPC) Marketing: Bring More Traffic to Your Website With PPC Advertising

One of the biggest challenges facing many websites is how to generate traffic. There are a number of different ways to address this, but pay per click marketing is one of the fastest and most cost-effective ways to bring qualified traffic to your website.

What is PPC? Defining Pay Per Click Marketing

Pay per click marketing is a form of Internet advertising where the advertiser (company) bids on keywords and pays for clicks on their online ads. For the most part, PPC advertisements display on search engine results pages (SERPs) and run at the top of the SERPs and also show on the right hand column. The most popular paid advertisement program on the Web today is Google AdWords.

What are the Benefits of PPC Marketing?

Pay per click advertising gives advertisers a distinct means of putting their message in front of an audience that is actively seeking a product or a solution. The main benefits of advertising with PPC are:

• Speed - Advertisers can push their ads out to large numbers of viewers and get instant traffic in a matter of hours, often minutes.

• Targeting - With paid advertising, a company can choose to only bid on specific keywords, ensuring that their ad only shows on highly-relevant searches. Advertisers can also choose to target only those searchers in a particular geographical area.

• ROI Measurement - PPC lets advertisers track the performance of their ad by measuring ad impressions, clicks, cost-per-click with Web analytics software. In short, a company will know exactly how much they're spending and how much they're making from PPC.

It's important to note that the foundation of every successful pay per click marketing campaign is keyword research. If a company fails to select the right keywords to create a campaign around, they can waste a ton of money bidding on unrelated search terms and thereby targeting the wrong customers. Nothing will cripple a PPC marketing campaign more than improper or incomplete keyword research.

There are a number of tools to help you conduct your keyword research, like the free Google AdWords Keyword Tool, so be sure to use them to help inform your keyword research before you start your campaign.

Pay Per Click (PPC) VS Organic Search Marketing (SEO): Which is Better?

Organic search engine optimization refers to the results that show in the search engine that are not paid to display. They show up "organically," hence the name. Both paid and organic marketing approaches can work to complement one another for advertisers, and it's recommended that companies employ both methods of Web advertising, but there are distinct differences between the two.

Here are some things to consider in regards to PPC marketing vs SEO:

• PPC advertising results are more immediate that SEO, which takes longer to implement and can take months or years to show results.

• Pay per click marketing lets you test different landing pages and ad versions, so you can determine which work and which don't.

• With PPC, you can choose where you ad places for how long and during which times of the day, which isn't possible with SEO.

• Pay per click marketers don't have to adhere to the rules of best SEO practices. PPC ads can be optimized for conversions, not search engines.

As you see, pay per click marketing has some clear advantages over SEO. But that's not to say organic search marketing isn't extremely effective and necessary for most websites. In fact, organic search marketing is a better long term option. But in the short term, nothing is more effective for bringing qualified traffic to your website than PPC marketing.

03 Mar The Daily Stock Report

The stock market stalled today with the Senate testimony of Federal Reserve Chairman Ben Bernanke and Secretary Treasurer Geithner as investors looked for positive clues about the economy and the effectiveness of the stimulus and banking plans.

We didn't get the big down day with high volume that we wanted to give us the high odds bottom to start buying stocks long but we should know in the next couple of days if we get that. In the meantime, if the market doesn't give us a decisive bottom stocks could start creeping up slowly instead of rebounding up sharply like the overstretched bungie cord.

Most of the banks still drifted lower and note we could see BAC and WFC make a decent rebound if they drop further first. Watch these two as the first to rebound.

REPEAT: Banking stocks followed through with their declines as forecasted with WFC, Wells Fargo dropping another 10.4%, BAC down 8.1%, USB down 8.4%, JPM down7.4% and C down 2% (no position in C). Two out of the six bank stocks that were short sales were covered today, WFC and BAC. The remaining four have more downside left with JPM and KEY looking like tomorrow is the right day to cover.

Oil was up 2% today.

Intermediate Trade Positions: New ideas: Most of the banks still drifted lower and note we could see BAC and WFC make a decent rebound if they drop further first. Watch these two as the first to rebound. Consider buying gradually small positions long and for the more conservative investor, you could wait until they start moving up before buying.

GE, General Electric, is ripe for a rebound even though this stock normally doesn't move much. Gradual buying in small increments would be smart.

OEX, S&P 100 is getting close to being a buy; this is a good index to trade options. The spread is tighter with higher volume which gives you higher liquidity. Make sure you expiration month is at least several months out.

Swing Trades: New Ideas: HUM, Humana Health is worth a small position long as well as UNH, United Health Group.

Day Traders/Intraday stock ideas: Excellent intraday trading today and likely to continue tomorrow. FSLR, First Solar is moving up so the drop is likely to be shallow with a bigger pop. Continue to watch ICE, BLK, CME, POT, MON, MOS, AMZN, AAPL, FSLR, BIDU, USB, WFC, JPM and any high volume, high volatility stocks.

Notes: The market still wants to react to positive news, as if to look for excuses to buy and speculate on a bull run.

I am still expecting some sort of substantial rally in the stock market sometime this year mostly driven by the massive stimulus that has already been poured into the system plus the planned stimulus package being proposed now. Longer term though, in a couple years down the road, no doubt the taxpayer is going to have to pay for such the high debt amounts that the US government (and other countries) have taken on. So tax rates probably will rise in coming years, interest rates will very likely have to rise as inflation surfaces and likely the bear market resumes sometime down the road. But we don't have to be stuck in a miserable cycle like most investors. With the techniques and approach to the market, we will still thrive.

If you have been uncomfortable shorting stocks, which most people are, learn to get used to it, this will be a useful tool in the coming years.

When I list several stocks from the same sector, like the housing industry for example, don't short all of them unless you are well diversified and it represents a small percentage of your total stock account (in that same account).
REPEAT: Keep an eye out for biotechs; they are building momentum and often do well in January.
SWI (SWING): 2-7 days INT: Intermediate term position 8 days to several months. Open Price: price paid on opening long position or price sold on short position. Bold notes on table above represent changes from previous day.
Current positions are highlighted in yellow. Green colored lines are next probable positions to consider. Red, take action or watch closely.

Thoughts: Best odds only, be decisive, aggressive, mentally flexible, stay in position size, don't overtrade and wait a little longer to buy and wait a little longer to sell. You will find that will make you more money on your trades. Trade what you see, not what you hope for. Intermediate and swing trades are really important to have trailing stop losses set.
Don't trade unless the setup is there for you, then use the charts to tell you when the odds are heavily in your favor. Don't force anything to work for you, let the setups develop and then take advantage of that. Be patient. Stay in position sizes without letting any intraday trade represent no more than 10-15% of your total account value. As you build your account, your position size percentage should get smaller and smaller to lower your risk.
